Another book that made it onto my reading list was The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. School demanded the reading of this book, and I dove into it with eagerness only to find that it was a somewhat lame story. lol, maybe that's just my faulty opinion, but I didn't like the story that much. I am eager to see the movie now, though, so I suppose it was good enough for me to desire to see it! ;)The next book I read was another one for school, but this one I actually enjoyed reading. O' Pioneers was actually a really good book that I do not regret picking up. I learned a lot about the old pioneering days and what sort of troubles people might have gone through. I also loved the personal touch to it - this is a recommendable book!.
Next I read The Mountains Bow Down by Sibella Giorello and WOWZA - what a book! I enjoyed the book from beginning to end - it was awesome! They mystery was intriguing and the characters well laid out. I loved it and highly recommend it!
Next I read - what do you know? - another book for school(Literature is almost over! lol). This was actually a short story, but I thought I'd add it anyway, as I enjoyed it. The Tell-Tale Heart was a very interesting and unique story. I'd suggest this book - it was pretty cool! ;)
Following that, I read Wounded Spirits, which Katy let me borrow last time we were in town. WOW! What a book! I couldn't put it down and read it in two days! It was SO good! I am now eagerly lookin' forward to the release of the 2nd book in the series - Warring Spirits - cause Wounded Spirits ended with a bit of a cliff hanger! Definitely look into reading this book - you won't regret it!
Next I read Hollywood Nobody. It was a book that had great potential but I ended up disappointed. It was very interesting and I loved the story, but it just had a few things in it that dropped the rating. Read my review here!
Lastly, we have yet another school book. LOL! Bartleby was an abnormal story that I enjoyed reading. I finished it last night and sat back going "Whoa...that was slightly weird but very interesting." I'm not even sure how to describe it! lol it was good though! I'm glad I read it!
Plain Proposal was an excellent book that I really enjoyed! It was full of great morals and lessons - I thought it was amazing! I will definitely be on the look out for more of Beth Wiseman's books - this one was exceptional!

It was fun for me to see what you've been reading :) Being a high school English teacher, I'm very familiar with O Pioneers and Bartleby. And I have an interesting connection to The Legend of Sleepy Hollow . . .
Washington Irving used to hang out in my hometown of Kinderhook, NY. Folks here say that he wrote the story about our town but then changed the name at the last minute. (Sleepy Hollow is a "newer" town, just down the road.) Many things in my town were named after the story--including the Ichabod Crane High School that I graduated from, where our mascot was a Rider, and the Rip Van Winkle Bridge which spans the nearby Hudson River.
And I also just finished The Mountains Bow Down. What a great story!
Great read thankks
