KATY'S REVIEW:
Romance:
Violence:
Fear/Horror:
Overall Impression:
I give this book 5 stars – it earned every single one!!! Almost from the first few pages, I was captured up with the story! It held me all the way until the end, sometimes causing me to sit tensely in my seat, hoping and praying that Daniel, Heather, and Lori would be able to outwit Eve and stop the killings.
Dekker is one of my favorite thrill writers, and he has done it again – writing another wonderful, clean story about good and evil, filled with tense scenes that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Adam had a very compelling story to tell, and I really enjoyed how every so often, in-between chapters, there would be a newspaper clipping, retelling the story of the killer widely known as Eve. It was a different twist to the normal set up of a book, and I really liked that!
I also learned something new about how the body reacts when it thinks it’s dying. That was pretty cool! Daniel had a pretty close scrape with death, I’d say – after being dead for 20 minutes! I wasn’t quite sure what to make of Lori’s courage and determination as she tried to bring him back to life. She had only known him for a few hours, so her unwillingness to let him die was a bit confusing for a few minutes. That was about the only time I kind of stopped reading long enough to ponder the reason why she was so concerned. But I learned later on the reason why.

A caution from me - best to read it during the day! ;-)
So, in the end, from cover to cover, this book was most definitely worth the read! It was suspenseful and a bit scary at times, but if you like getting scared a bit, this book is right up your alley!! :-)
Thanks to Hachette for giving me a review copy of this book!
