12 Days of Christmas GIVEAWAY Bash, Day 5!!

We are five days into the giveaway already! Wow! :-)
In the well-known song, 12 Days of Christmas, we are looking at each verse and explaining what each item named represents! So for today, we are looking at the fourth verse…
On the fifth day of Christmas,
My true love sent to me
FIVE GOLDEN RINGS
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtledoves,
And a partridge in a pear tree

As we have already discussed, we are the ones singing it, telling what our true love – God – gave to us. The partridge in a pear tree represented Christ, the two turtledoves represented the Old and New Testaments, the three French hens represent the theological virtues, and the four calling birds symbolize the four gospels!

Now we are already onto the “5 Golden Rings”!! :-) This line is always the one that you hold out and sing really loud! ;-) Wonder why? Well, this represent the first give books in the Old Testament. These five books (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy) give the history of man’s fall from grace and their long journey to the promise land.

So, onto the giveaway – for the fifth day on Book Ponderings 12 Days of Christmas we are giving away a copy of The Vigilante’s Bride by Yvonne Harris! :-) Want a chance at winning this? Follow the guidelines below to find out how to enter!
