12 Days of Christmas GIVEAWAY Bash, Day 4!!

Okay! Day four! :-)
In the well-known song, 12 Days of Christmas, we are looking at each verse and explaining what each item named represents! So for today, we are looking at the fourth verse…
On the fourth day of Christmas,
My true love sent to me
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtledoves,
And a partridge in a pear tree

As we have already discussed, we are the ones singing it, telling what our true love – God – gave to us. The partridge in a pear tree represented Christ, the two turtledoves represented the Old and New Testaments, and the three French hens represent the theological virtues!

For the fourth verse, the calling birds symbolize the four gospels – Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John! (lol, I know someone with each of those names! :-P)

So, onto the giveaway – for the fourth day on Book Ponderings 12 Days of Christmas we are giving away a copy of Jan Watson’s book, Still House Pond! :-) Want a chance at winning this? Follow the guidelines below to find out how to enter!
